Oppenheimer Mendominasi Nominasi 2024 EE BAFTA Film Awards

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Film Oppenheimer menduduki puncak nominasi 2024 EE British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) Film Awards dengan 13 nominasi. Seremoni tersebut akan berlangsung di Southbank Centre di London, Inggris, pada 16 Februari dan dipandu oleh David Tennant.

Sutradara Oppenheimer, Christopher Nolan, tampaknya akan meraih kemenangan pertamanya dalam sembilan nominasi ketika dia bersaing memperebutkan penghargaan Best Director pada acara penghargaan bulan depan itu.

Sementara itu, film yang berkisah bom atom itu juga dinominasikan sebagai Best Film serta mendapatkan tempat dalam nominasi kategori Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Cinematography, Best Editing, Best Costume Design, Best Make-up and Hair, Best Original Score, Best Production Design, dan Best Sound.

Dilansir Aceshowbiz, Jumat (19/1/2024), pemeran Julius Robert Oppenheimer, Cillian Murphy, dinominasikan sebagai Leading Actor (bintang utama terbaik). Lawan main Murphy, Robert Downey Jr dan Emily Blunt masing-masing dinominasikan untuk Supporting Actor and  Supporting Actress (aktor/aktris pendukung terbaik).

Menyusul Oppenheimer adalah Poor Things, yang meraih 11 nominasi termasuk Best Film dan Best Actress untuk Emma Stone. Stone akan bersaing dengan Margot Robbie (Barbie), Carey Mulligan (Maestro), Sandra Huller (Anatomy of a Fall), Fantasia Barrino (The Color Purple), dan Vivian Oparah (Rye Lane).

Pemenang Golden Globe, Lily Gladstone, yang membintangi Killers of the Flower Moon tidak masuk dalam nominasi Best Actress. Sementara Robbie masuk nominasi Best Actress, Barbie hanya berhasil meraih lima nominasi, meski mendapat 15 tempat ketika daftar panjang diumumkan awal Januari.

Ini termasuk nominasi untuk Original Screenplay, Costume Design and Production Design, serta Best Supporting untuk aktor Ryan Gosling.  Selain itu, Anatomy of a Fall, The Holdovers, dan Killers of the Flower Moon bergabung dengan Oppenheimer dan Poor Things dalam kategori Best Film.

Kemudian, Best Director hanya memiliki satu nominasi perempuan, yaitu sutradara Anatomy of a Fall, Justine Trier.  Dia akan bersaing memperebutkan hadiah tersebut bersama Nolan, Jonathan Glazer (The Zone of Interest), Andrew Haigh (All of Us Strangers), sutradara Maestro Bradley Cooper, yang juga dinominasikan sebagai Leading Actor, dan Alexander Payne (The Holdovers).

Tidak ada satu pun yang pernah memenangkan penghargaan tersebut di masa lalu. Selanjutnya, ada Barry Keoghan (Saltburn), Paul Giamatti (The Holdovers), Colman Domingo (Rustin), dan Teo Yoo (Past Lives) bergabung dengan Murphy dan Cooper dalam kategori Leading Actor.
