Saudi companies to improve Hajj services in Armina

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, MAKKAH - Muasasah or private companies to organize hajj (in Saudi Arabia), promised to improve hajj services in Arafat and Mina. The conveyed it when met with the Indonesian government delegation on Monday.

The meeting was attended by Indonesian Muslim Association of Hajj and Umra Organizers, as well as Director General of Hajj and Umrah at Ministry of Religious Affairs, Anggito Abimanyu. Abimanyu said there were three things that discussed at the meeting for 40 minutes.

"We cannot change their plan to cut 20 percent quota of Indonesian pilgrims. The slash is necessary to protect the pilgrims' safety (due to renovation project in Ka'ba -Ed). But the muasasah to Southeast Asia promised to improve its service to Indonesian pilgrims. It's a basic principle," Abimanyu said on Tuesday.

Before the quota cut, Indonesia rented 215 hostels for Indonesian pilgrims. The quota cut cause leads to cancellation of some accommodation despite Indonesia has paid 50 percent of the rental fees. But both sides has agreed ro renegotiated their contract.
