Nominasi Oscar Didominasi The Shape of Water

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, LOS ANGELES -- Setelah berbulan-bulan banyak orang berspekulasi tentang film-film terbaik, akhirnya nominasi Oscar diumumkan. The Shape of Water menjadi film yang masuk kategori terbanyak, yaitu 13 nominasi.

Film arahan Guillermo del Toro ini sebelumnya memang cukup berjaya dalam pagelaran Golden Globes yang sering dijadikan ajang pemanasan sebelum Academy Awards. Kali ini, film tersebut masuk dalam kategori Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actress, Best Supporting Actor, Best Supporting Actress, Best Original Screenplay, Best Original Score, Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Best Production Design, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, dan Best Film Editing.

Pencapaian The Shape of Water hanya kurang satu nominasi untuk masuk dalam deretan film dengan nominasi Oscar terbanyak. Sebelumnya All About Eve, Titanic, dan La La Land merupakan film yang berhasil mendapatkan 14 nominasi Oscar.
