Atut officially dismissed as governor of Banten

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SERANG – Regional House of Representatives (DPRD) officially announced the dismissal of Ratu Atut Chosiyah as governor of Banten 2012-2017. It was announced in plenary session and stated in the Presidential Decree No 63/P 2015.

At the plenary season, DPRD also proposed Rano Karno to become Governor of Banten.

"Ratu Atut Chosiyah was dismissed as governor of Banten and she will be replaced by Rano Karno. Rano will complete the remaining period of Atut leadership,” said the Chairman of DPRD of Banten, Asep Rakhmatullah, Thursday (6/8).

DPRD of Banten hopes that Rano can cooperate with all sides, so that the development of Banten can still be continued.

"According to the decree, Rano Karno will be sworn by the President at the State Palace," he said.
