Indonesia launches 'Eat Pray Love Cycling Tour'

REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, DENPASAR - Indonesia launches Eat, Pray, Love (EPL) Cycling Tour program in Ubud, Bali, on Saturday. The event was aimed to promote and develop tourism sector in Indonesia, the Head of Public Communication at the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, I Gusti Ngurah Putra, said.

The idea of the cycling tour is based on world-famous movie starred by Julia Roberts, Eat, Pray, Love, which casted the movie in Bali. "It is like a tour and rendezvous of Elizabeth Gilbert, the main character in EPL," Putra said.

The package offers cycling tour using the route taken by Elizabeth Gilbert in EPL. The tour is passing village in Ubud, rice field, and visiting the house of Mangku Letut Liyer, an old paranormal who was visited by Gilbert. The tour then continues to Monkey Forest Ubud and ended at Puri Lukisan Museum.

The package is offered for 100 USD. The tourists will not only enjoy the scenery and tour, but also learn something from the journey. This program is expected to be as successful as James Bond Island in Phuket, Thailand.
