REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- The General Election Commission (KPU) will hold an open plenary meeting to determine the presidential candidates (capres) and vice presidential candidates (cawapres) elected in 2024 elections on Wednesday (24/4/24) 2024). In the determination, not only Prabowo Subianto-Gibran Rakabuming Raka was present.
Based on the observation of Republika, Anies Baswedan-Muhaimin Iskandar attended the Indonesian Commission Office to witness the appointment of Prabowo-Gibran as elected vice president. The couple arrived at the RI Commission Office shortly after the arrival of the Prabowo-Gibran couple.
The candidate couple with sequence number 1 arrived at the Office of KPU RI at about 10:05pm. The two men came at the same time in separate cars.
Upon arrival at KPU RI Office, Anies-Muhaimin directly approached the media crew who had been waiting since the morning. Anies stated that his arrival was nothing but to respect the state process.
“This is a state process and we respect this state process to the fullest. That is why, we are here together respecting the process,” Anies said at the RI Commission Office on Wednesday.
Anies also reminded all parties to follow the ruling of the Constitutional Court (MK). Including the records that the Court provided in those proceedings.
“There are a lot of notes that should be material for improvement, and they should be remembered. On the other hand, we respect the state process, that's why we are here,” he said.
