REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, --- The personnel of TNI-Polri who are members of the Nemangkawi Operation Task Force invaded  the headquarters of the Papuan armed criminal group (KKB) in Olenski. Five KKB members were reportedly shot dead.

Head of the Nemangkawi Public Relations Task Force Kombes M Iqbal Al Qudussy said the shootout occurred two days on Monday (April, 26) and Tuesday (April, 27), around the KKB Lumawi headquarters, in Makki Village, Ilaga, Puncak Regency, Papua.

"The five KKB members who were shot dead by the Nemangkawi Task Force came from the Lekagak Telenggen group," said Iqbal.

Iqbal said Lekagak Teleggen was a fugitive who was included in the Papua Police's wanted list (DPO) since last year in the case of holding a SS1 weapon and shooting at Mile 61 while traveling from Arwanop to Tsinga.

The Nemangkawi Operations Task Force raided the KKB headquarters, Monday (26/4) at around 08.00 WIT KB in Olenski. One member of the Police Mobile Brigade died on behalf of Bharada Komang.

The TNI-Polri are still pursuing criminal groups that have committed criminal acts in recent weeks. "There is no place for armed criminal groups in Papua or throughout Indonesia," Iqbal said.

This Papuan armed criminal group previously shot the head of the Papua Regional State Intelligence Agency (Kabinda), Brigadier General TNI Putu Danny, in Dambet Village, Beoga District, Puncak Regency.

The KKB also shot teachers and students, burned school facilities and raped village girls, extorted village funds and burned "honai" tribal chiefs in Beoga.
