REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, SURABAYA -- East Java Regional Police has determined a celebrity with initials VA as a suspect in online prostitution. East Java Police Chief, Inspector General Luki Hermawan said VA to be charged by Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE) Law on morality as stated in article 27 paragraph 1.

"We determine VA as a suspect because she intentionally exposed her images and videos for online prostitution," said Luki at the East Java Police Headquarters, in Surabaya, on Wednesday (Jan 16).

Luki explained, VA's naked images and porn videos were spread by herself to pimp, ES, and customers. According to the police, with these pornographic photos and videos, VA through ES often got many clients.

"We obtained the evidences based on digital forensic results from VA and ES's cellphones," Luki said.

Luki said, the FTV actress was allegedly active in prostitution since 2017. VA has repeatedly received orders and served her customers.

"Of the 15 transactions, there were nine transactions involving VA directly. Each of the two transactions for services in Singapore, six in Jakarta, and one in Surabaya," he said.

The online prostitution case involving female celebrities in Surabaya was revealed by Cyber Criminal Division of East Java Regional Police on Saturday (Jan 5). Police have arrested three pimps as suspect.
