REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- South Korean Lee Yong Dae pairing with Yoo Yeon Seong won the second champion title at the Indonesia Open 2016 on Sunday after beating their Chinese opponents Chai Biao/Hong Wei in the final round.

Lee/Yoo won the match in a rubber game 13-21, 21-13, 21-16 against the world's fifth ranking players from China in 58 minutes.

The South Korean duo who took part in the Indonesia Open for the first time in 2013 said they were proud to win the champion title especially with regard to strong support from the Indonesian fans.

"The match was very tight just now. We were proud to have won at the Indonesian Open," Lee Yong Dae said after the game.

He admitted he was nervous at the first game as Chai/Hong attacked a lot to make them having difficulties defending against them.

Support from spectators at the stadium had even made them more nervous but "in the second game the feeling could be overcome," he said.

Yoo Yeon Seong said the key to their victory was mutual trust so they could overcome pressures at critical points and turned over the situation.

The pair's next ambition would be seeking a gold medal from the Olympic Games 2016 in Rio de Janeiro.

"We have an ambition to win a gold medal. We will be back to Korea to train and maintain our conditions," Yoo said.

In 2013 they lost to Indonesian pair Mohammad Ahsan/Hendra Setiawan but in 2014 they could overcome them to emerge as the champion.

Last year they dropped out at the semifinals after being defeated by fellow countrymen Ko Sung Hyun/Shin Baek Cheol.
