REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA -- Jakarta Provincial Goverment exercises tight money policy. The Governor, Basuki Tjahaja Purnama or known as Ahok, plans to cut the budget on cake and tea usually served on daily operational.

"We will cut the budget without omitting the snacks," the Jakarta's first Chinese Governor said on Wednesday, November 26.

He said the snacks should be in the appropriate amount. "I often see that we spent money to buy 500 pieces of cake for one event, while in fact we needed only 100 or 200 pieces. I'm afraid the committee of the event, cash in the money for their own purpose," he said.
